(DRIMYS WINTERI)
TThe cinnamon tree or canelo is for the Mapuche, southern Chiles indigenious people, a sacred tree, that they adore and worship. They atribute magic properties to the tree. Its branches also represent peace and important treaties where made in the shadows of these species. Its trunk is straight and cylindrical, it can grow up until a height of 98ft and its trunk diameter up to 3ft. The bark is smooth, thick, soft and of a clear grey colour. The branches are thin and their ends are of a reddish colour. The leaves are perennial, petiolated, alternated, simple and of a light green colour. The lenght of the leaves is between 5 to 14cm and the breadth is around 4cm. It announces rain, when its leaves turn around, and a silver lake becomes visible. We have 300 unique plots available in the valley of Tears, some with riverbank access and others more heavily wooded and with a view towards the ffiord. As soon as you buy one of these plots it formally becomes conservation land under Chilean law, which means that it can never be used for comercial purposes.
If you ever want to visit your plot it is reachable by air and by sea, and there is a luxury lodge nearby in Puyahuapi. We have included a clause in the deeds that allows the construction of a small log cabin (made from fallen timber).
If you are genuinely interested in being a part of our Project, please contact us by mail and I can send you more detailsof the plots and a sample copy of the contract which will transfer the land to you.
